My photo
Tyler H Ross
Tyler H Ross was born on the great plains of Kansas. He has traveled to the majority of the lower 48 states. Tyler’s first formal photography class was at Arkansas City High. He started shooting for the student newspaper and yearbook his junior year of high school. When Tyler graduated high school he was the “photo editor” of the newspaper and Sr. Photographer on the yearbook staff. After high school photography simply became a hobby of Tyler’s. On his days off Tyler was known to load up his camera gear and hit the road by himself on what he calls “photo safaris”. With support and encouragement from his family and friends Tyler decided to pursue photography as a career. In 2008 Tyler selected a reputable college in North Carolina to study photography to polish his craft. Prior to graduation Tyler started working at one of the largest commercial photography studios in the country, The Alderman Company. As for his personal work, Tyler has taken inspiration from the book Blue Highways by William Least Heat-Moon. Tyler is still driving those secondary highways and lost roads one mile at a time on a life long photo safari.
